So. Life finds me living in KC, Missouri, less than a ten minute walk from Kansas City Art Institute. My apartment-mate's name is Lottie, and she's a sweetheart. I've had a boyfriend since February, and he's the best I've ever had. The only downside? Francis is back in Texas for the summer.

I got through freshman year with my name on the dean's list and scholarship intact. I'm going into digital film next year because of the narrative and interactive possibilities. If I can work sculptural elements into that, I'll be set.

Combichrist is godly. "I swear, I'll fistfuck your brain until I'm smiling again/Enjoy the abuse/Next time you open your mouth I'll put my fist into it so deep you cannot swallow/I'll make your body hollow." Who could resist the adorable and gregarious unnaffected charisma of those words? Me, I'm practically swoooooning!

I'm in the awkward position of missing everyone back in StL and everyone who's usually here at school at once. I'm kind of lonely, but compensating by reading four or five books a week. Nearly adopted a stray cat yesterday, but (I suppose luckily) I called my mom and she opined that it would cost more to keep a cat than I can afford. Meh. For the moment being, I've been saved from the fate of "cat-lady".
